Trump bids for black vote in U.S. election

Beginning with a speech outside Milwaukee on Tuesday, Trump has steadily increased his rhetoric geared towards African-American voters, saying that the group should give Republicans a chance.

“I fully recognize that outreach to the African-American community is an area where the Republican Party must do better, and will do better”, Trump said in Fredericksburg, located between Richmond and Washington in the critical battleground state of Virginia.

“They have a very strong ground game for Latinos across the country and I think the numbers they are going to run up against Trump are going to be huge”. “You have no jobs, 58 percent of your youth is unemployed, what the hell do you have to lose?” he added in the overwhelmingly white town of Diamondale.

As Trump was recalling the March incident in June, trying to play up his support among African-Americans, he pointed to a black supporter in the crowd and said, “Oh, look at my African-American over here”.

Trump decried trade deals like NAFTA (which passed when Bill Clinton was president) and the Trans Pacific Partnership, (which he says Hillary Clinton supports, though she says she doesn’t).
