It is no secret that Apple needs to release a number of compelling products this year in order to keep the company profitable. The Cupertino-based tech giant only offered several minor improvements on their lightest and slimmest laptop since its launch in 2008. We also expect the new Macbook Pros to be shipped with INTC processors and MacOS Sierra which will include Siri functionality, improved image management software, and enhanced iCloud Drive functionality among other features.

As consumers continue to anticipate for updates and rumors about the upcoming upgraded laptop from Apple, a new report has hinted that spending time waiting for the device might just put their efforts to vain. In fact, the current iteration of the device still carries the same design it had nearly 6 years ago.

“We think a new Macbook Pro launch could enable a reaccelerating in share gains”, he said, reiterating an outperform rating and US$117 price target on Apple shares.

Are you expecting the MacBook Air 2016? That is, a device with the same appearance, but with slightly higher specs. But, if all the rumours surrounding the MacBook 2016 are anything to go by, the MacBook Air will no longer be the lightest or slimmest laptop. After all, the MacBook Air’s market appears to be the very same niche that the MacBook is targeting.

Considering the massive fanbase of the MacBook Air, however, there is a pretty good chance that Apple would be releasing one final MacBook Air before fully retiring the brand.

The rumor claiming that the fifth-generation iPad Mini could be renamed is in congruence with the speculation of a more durable aluminum body since Apple might be planning to rebadge it as a tablet alternative for professionals, hence the term “iPad Pro Mini”. The University Herald suggests that Apple’s focus right now is the MacBook Pro.
