Mr. Robot is Coming Back for Season 3
We can finally put a pin on why Elliot’s storyline has felt so detached from the rest of the action this season, and, as mentioned above, Elliot’s daily routine that was supposedly helping him keep his life in control now makes much more sense.

As was the case with this season’s big curtain yank – the twist that Elliot, for the entire season so far, has been in prison. For what, we don’t know yet.
The seventh episode Mr. Robot Season 2 airs tonight, right after the announcement of the renewal for a third season! We do get to hear stories of her past and growing up but I talked to Sam about that but it’s really Mr. Robot and the dad’s goal is really serving Elliot and she was a lot younger when he died. The season 2 premiere was followed by a live aftershow called Hacking Robot, where the events of the episode were dissected by host Andy Greenwald and guests stars Esmail, Malek, and Slater, along with actors Carly Chaikin, who plays fsociety member Darlene, and Portia Doubleday, who plays Angela, an old friend of Elliot’s. Since the beginning of the season, Elliot is in prison!
What do we know about Ray before Episode 7?
Since its first broadcast, Mr. Robot has deservedly received massive critical acclaim and millions of viewers. Which means Tyrell could be alive to make the occasional breathy phone call to his wife. When Ray asks Elliot to fix his website and finds out the truth, that’s when he turns Ray in. But knowing that fact should be enough for most fans of the series.
After Dom leaves, Angela is able to finish the coding that allows fsociety to hack the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Did you like that he wasn’t floored by the reveal but instead he was the one who was lying to us? But I think they’re both in this bind of “we have no other way”. Thank the Lord that DiPierro didn’t actually look at Angela’s screen, and that Angela had an excuse as to why she was on the FBI’s restricted floor. Just as numbingly repetitive are Joanna’s (Stephanie Corneliussen) sex games with men who don’t measure up to her missing husband, Tyrell (Martin Wallström) – we get it, she’s broke because she spent all her money on red ribbons. She knows that if Angela doesn’t succeed and do this for herself than she’s going to get screwed. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, he said “I’ve been very open from the get-go, just even in selling the pilot, that I don’t see it going more than four, maybe five, max five [seasons]”. It also raises a bunch of questions, like is he a member of the Dark Army or just an independent contractor they found on TaskRabbit?

Creator Sam Esmail evidently hoped that the conflict between the parts of Elliot that he claims as himself and those that he rejects could sustain a half-season. One thing that we always do is we never want to cheat the audience.
