Next up from Sleeping Dogs devs UFG is Smash & Grab

United Front Games, the studio behind cult favourite open-world crime adventure Sleeping Dogs, has just unveiled their new game, and it’s called Smash & Grab.

“Each team will need to grapple, shoot, and smash their way to victory by collecting $50k in goods from locked-down, high-end shopping districts – or from the opposing team!” says UFG.

Canadian developer United Front Games, which made Sleeping Dogs and ModNation Racers, today announced its next game.

United Front Games’ next project isn’t a Sleeping Dogs sequel.

Soon after the leak, United Front Games formally released the trailer for Smash & Grab.

To me however – and this may be a problem for Smash & Grab whether it deserves it or not – Sleeping Dogs 2 sounds much more interesting and the idea of a sequel to the smash hit is looking less and less likely.

Based exclusively on the leaked images above, Smash and Grab looks like a competitive team-based multiplayer game.

When Smash + Grab launches on Early Access next month, it will include two multiplayer maps and modes, seven playable Leaders, 13 Lieutenants, 20 different stores and vending machines to smash and 12 base weapons with 18 weapon mods. Smash and Grab seemingly takes place in a corporate city – you can assemble your own gang, customise them and compete in multiplayer action with both ranged and melee combat.

Created to be instantly fun and rewarding as a “pick up and play” online experience, Smash + Grab’s Early Access release will be fully featured and include an offline practice mode alongside the initial two multiplayer modes and maps.
