Simone was wanted on several warrants and was arrested at the end of a chase from Holden, Massachusetts, to Nashua, New Hampshire.

Foster announced Tuesday that former New Hampshire State Trooper Andrew Monaco is anticipated to enter guilty pleas to three counts of simple assault in connection to his use of force in the arrest of Simone. The chase reached speeds of 100 miles per hour. As the suspect, Richard Simone, pulled over his vehicle and got out of the auto, officers could be seen on SkyFox video punching Simone while he was on the ground.

The chase wound through several communities in MA and New Hampshire at speeds that topped 90 miles per hour, authorities said. He was struck at least 22 times, according to court documents. “The Division of State Police does not condone the unjustified use of force and it will not be tolerated”, Quinn said in a statement. Simone wasn’t actively resisting.

The hearing is scheduled to take place in Nashua district court at 1 p.m.
