Anaheim Ducks sign Carl Hagelin to four-year, $16-million contract
Last week, Murray signed forward Jakob Silfverberg to a four-season, $15-million contract, rewarding one of the Ducks’ top producers with an extended deal and a hefty salary bump from the relatively modest $850,000 he made last season.

Newly acquired forward Carl Hagelin signed with the Anaheim Ducks on Friday.
The Ducks got Hagelin in a draft-day trade for Emerson Etem, and they and the Rangers exchanged draft picks in the 2015 National Hockey League Draft.
The speedy Hagelin is a strong two-way player that should be a nice addition to an already talented and deep Ducks lineup.
Hagelin turns 27 on August 23. In 82 games with the Rangers in 2014-15 he scored 17 goals to go with 18 assists.
A native of Sweden, he won silver at the 2014 Olympics and silver at the 2008 World Junior Championship, his first major worldwide tournament. “It’s an exciting time and a great opportunity to do big things. I want to do whatever I can to help the team”. He was coming off a two-year, $4.5 million contract with the Rangers.

The Ducks have re-signed all of their significant free agents heading into training camp next month. The Ducks also gave a six-year, $41.25 million extension to Kesler, who capped a solid debut season in Anaheim with excellent playoff work last spring.
