Lithuania in $437 Million Military Vehicle Deal With Germany
On 22 August 2016, OCCAR awarded on behalf of the Republic of Lithuania a contract for the procurement of BOXER Infantry Fighting Vehicles to the BOXER manufacturer ARTEC GmbH.

Lithuanian Defense Minister Juozas Olekas, who signed the agreement with representatives of Artec and OCCAR, an global organization for defense equipment programs, told local media the acquired IFVs is to be operated for at least 30 years.
Lithuania on Monday concluded a €386 million deal to buy 88 armoured vehicles from German-Dutch firm Artec – the largest arms contract in the country’s history.
The Lithuanian Defense Ministry said the deal was signed yesterday for purchase of 88 armoured Boxer cars.
Under the plan, the first IFVs are to be delivered to the Lithuanian Armed Forces in late 2017, and the contract will be completed by 2021, the statement said.
The Boxer infantry fighting vehicles will include 30 mm turrets, anti-tank ammunition, and machine guns.
Together with the Lithuanian vehicles, just short of 700 vehicles therefore have been contracted by three user nations.
Germany has 405 Boxers in its inventory, while Netherlands has 200.

Boxer is available in a variety of models, such as infantry fighting vehicle, armoured personnel carrier, command post, ambulance, logistics / cargo, engineer group carrier, and battle damage fix.
