Simone Biles chosen to carry the United States flag Sunday at closing ceremony

She has become the first gymnast in the world to win four gold medals in an Olympics since 1984.

Biles received that honor Saturday, being named the flag bearer for tonight’s closing ceremony in a nod to an exceptional Summer Olympics in Rio.

But after racking up four Gold medals in five attempts, Biles proved to be just as dominant in her sport.

Competing at her first Olympic Games in Rio, Biles won gold medals in team, all-around, vault and floor exercise.

Gold medalist Simone Biles will carry the US flag and lead the USA into Maracana Stadium Sunday night for the closing ceremony, it was announced Saturday.

“Simone Biles, in all of her petite, air-defying athleticism, was the ultimate breakout star of the 2016 Olympics”, the New York Times Magazine said.

Turns out, she was more than fine.

After the gymnastics competition ended, Biles and her Final Five teammates stayed in Rio to cheer on other athletes and hopefully visit some of Rio’s famous beaches.

From back flips to the balance beam, gymnastics took center stage during the Olympics and now some local gyms are reaping the benefits. She met Zac Efron.

I’m carrying the flag for closing ceremony! It was Mike Krzyzewski’s final game as the U.S. Olympic team’s coach. When it’s time for a “cheat” treat, however, she swears by “pepperoni pizza and ice cream and cookies, of course!”

But it was USA’s President Barack Obama who led in congratulating Biles for her performances at the Games.
