Conlan under fire for ‘humiliating’ judges
The London 2012 Bronze Medalist beat Vladimir Nikitin, but the judges ruled in favour of the Russian, robbing Conlan of a place in the next round and a shot at a medal.

“They’re fucking cheats. That’s me”. “I will never box an AIBA competition again”. “They’re cheating b*******, they’re paying everybody”. They are officials. He put himself in a hard position, I can tell you.
“Amateur boxing stinks from the core right to the top”. “I’m no loser, I’m a victor!” (Levit) never said anything. They all accept the result.
Michael Conlan should be punished for his angry reaction to his controversial points defeat at the Rio Games, says AIBA president Dr Ching-Kuo Wu. The IOC say this is totally unacceptable.
“Disciplinary action will follow, you can’t humiliate in public our judges”.
The AIBA dismissed corruption allegations and have stated that “tangible proof” is needed to move forward with legal or disciplinary actions.
“You should show proper behaviour”.
The AIBA sent home several referees and judges after debatable verdicts at the Rio Games and after Conlan fight fall out and now as a result it is believed the scoring system will be changed for the 2020 Tokyo Games.
‘That has already drawn a lot of people’s attention who want to punish him, so we are going to have a disciplinary commission for the case’.
“Judges have no intentions”.
Remember judges in your lovely blazers with your brass f*cking buttons, these young men punch each other in the head for a living while you sit there with your pen judging, and it seems you sometimes they make mistakes like us all.
“But since that happened, we want to totally review our system, how to improve in our mind”. Five rounds, three minutes, five scores all showing from the judges. No more computer selection.
Immediately prior to stepping in front of that microphone, before getting out of the ring, a furious Conlan had stuck his middle fingers up at the judges in an image that would have been the most iconic Irish image of a hard Olympic Games if it were not for a dawn raid on Pat Hickey’s hotel room.
“Three rounds, we all feel, is too short”. Maybe in the future we should change it to all five judges all showing, nothing to hide. It will be transparent.

“We always have many bad losers, and once they lose, they’re attacking without any reason, no evidence”, added Wu.
