Rio 2016: Britain’s Jason Kenny Equals Chris Hoy With Sixth Olympic Gold
Not only did cyclist Laura Trott totally knock our socks off by becoming the only United Kingdom woman to have bagged FOUR olympic golds, but her fiancee Jason Kenny also joined bike-legend Sir Chris Hoy in having six Olympic golds too.

The 28-year-old from Bolton emulated Sir Chris Hoy’s 2008 achievement of winning three titles at one Olympics to move level with the Scot as the Briton with the most Games golds.
Add that to the five gold medals the couple won in London 2012, and they’re the most successful Olympic couple, with a total of 10 gold medals between them.
She picked up her second top-of-the-podium finish at the Rio Games, while becoming the first British woman to win a fourth Olympic gold medal.
The 15 British track cycling athletes have won a whopping 11 medals between them – six of which were gold, four silver and one bronze.
Asked by Sky News Sports Correspondent Paul Kelso what the future held, Kenny said: “Obviously we are going to get married and we will disappear on honeymoon for a few months”.
It was his third triumph in Rio, having won in the team sprint and the men’s sprint.
She beat Katy Marchant in the semi-finals and then downed fellow British rider Rebecca James, the fastest qualifier, for the gold medal. “It felt like a dream”.
Jason Kenny won gold in the Men’s Keirin in the final track cycling event of Rio 2016 as he reigned victorious in what was a hugely tense race inside the Velodrome.
Kenny risked disqualification after a false start in Rio and faced a nervy wait to discover if he would be allowed to compete. I guess I’m exhausted. It’s special, I’m really proud of Laura’.
All Trott’s gold medals have been at the expense of Hammer, the American who must be sick of the sight of her rear wheel.
Once again though the judges determined that all riders would be allowed to race again, meaning Eilers wasn’t disqualified as the derny bike appeared to have some sort of problem in leaving the track at the right time. “I just want to know what they’re riding and I’m not!” I can’t even think about it.
“After I won we spoke about everything else but [gold medals]”.

German Kristina Vogel defied the British domination to win an emotional sprint gold medal. It was about coming here and winning as many golds as we could.
