Luke Shaw hails “superb” Paul Pogba display
Zlatan Ibrahimovic grabbed a brace as Manchester United defeated Southampton 2-0 at Old Trafford on Friday night.

Fellaini was impressive once again in central midfield as United beat Southampton 2-0 to secure their second win from two games.
To emphasise his point, Ibrahimovic looked back to when he joined Juventus from Ajax in 2004 to take his place in a dressing room that included some of the biggest names in world football.
Jose Mourinho said earlier this month that the Swedish striker is “like a magnet” in the Aon Training Complex canteen, where the players have flocked around their iconic team-mate at meal times. “He holds the ball better than anyone and his movement is great”. Some players (have been here just) for one week like Paul (Pogba), others three weeks, four weeks.
Last season Rooney, United’s second top scorer of all time with 246, would have been first choice to take the shot but he was happy to allow the club’s new number nine to assume the responsibility.
Everything that was individual was superb and the things related to the team he [Pogba] tried very hard to do.
“It was the first game at home and we won it”. It’s a good start.
“The season is long, I’ll work hard, the team will work hard & slowly we’ll get better & better so let’s see what the outcome will be”.
His debut display was stunning, having scored two goals for the team in Bournemouth and marking Manchester United’s weekend victory.
Speaking in his postmatch news conference, Mourinho said: “He was fantastic”. His first match, his first touch was a bad one and led to a counter-attack and a free-kick and an opportunity for the opponent but he was not affected.
“When United signed Ibrahimovic, we were talking about the quality that he brings, the hold-up play, the flicks but we didn’t talk about these sort of headed goals, these typical English centre-forward goals and he’s scored two of them already”. I am very happy for the team. “We did the mistake only once, so Paul is back and I am really happy to have him back”. “That is all we can do”.
“The player was feeling not loved”, said Mourinho.

Manchester United’s Marouane Fellaini has reportedly been told to impress. “The crowd was magnificent”.
