Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone has added another laurel to the successful career by making her debut on the Forbes’ list of world’s top 10 highest paid actresses in the world with an earning of United States $10 million that is approx Rs 67 crores.
The list also features Jennifer Aniston, the epic sitcom “Friends” actress on the fourth position with an earning of USA $21 million. She grabbed a 10th spot and is the sole new entrant to the list.
“These numerous high-paying shills have helped her hedge against a deep pay gap in Bollywood”, it added. Deepika will be seen in xXx: The Return of Xander Cage with Vin Diesel. While Deepika earns far less than other Hollywood actresses in the list, it is the endorsement deals like Vistara and Tanishq Jewellery etc. that have been a big advantage for her to get her in the prestigious list.
However, like Deepika, Lawrence’s estimated payday was likely well below that for Hollywood’s leading men, Forbes said, despite the actress sparking a debate about the gender pay gap a year ago. Forbes will release its list of highest-paid Hollywood male actors on Thursday (August 25).
