Liverpool: Klopp has no Sturridge concerns
Suffering that 3-1 defeat to Sevilla means the Reds are without European football this term and will compete on just three fronts – the Premier League, the FA Cup and the EFL Cup, starting tonight in the latter. They could not defend against us like they wanted.

Mane – who was arguably Liverpool’s star man on the night – played in Milner and after advancing towards the byline, he fired the ball across goal where Sturridge was waiting at the back post to tap home from no more than two yards.
Liverpool has won this trophy a record eight times and plays second-tier Burton on Tuesday in the second-round match.
Uefa’s investigation wrecked his chances of playing in Euro 2016 even though the substance in question was later found not to be banned. Is Klopp resting him, or is he sending a message?
Liverpool is already showing inconsistency in the league this season.
Klopp says he won’t be “resting” players, but he probably should be dropping some.
The home side had Kyle McFadzean head over from 12 yards towards the end of the first half but that was as good as it got before the break as they struggled to stay competitive.
But from early on it was clear that there was a huge gulf in class between the two teams. His aerial prowess meant that he was a threat in both boxes as he managed to grab a solitary goal for his side. I have lost a few games in my life, and I accept that I will lose a few more in the future. It is not about being in Europe, and saying that one cup is important and not the others.
“How can we be more than 100 per cent ambitious?”
“If we go out, we will not stop”.
“I really wait for the day when finally the transfer window closes, because I can’t believe how obsessed you all are with this”, Jurgen Klopp said. That is not how it works. We have never shown a lack of respect to any competition. We always want to win every game, regardless of the competition.
Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool can be the Leicester City of this season, but the team and the strategy they are trying needs time to settle.
‘We want to be as successful as possible, ‘ said Klopp, who is expected to give starts to Divock Origi, Emre Can and new signing Joel Matip.

Origi, described by his manager as being short of rhythm, is likely to feature though, and Klopp says he would be happy to pair the Belgian with Sturridge if necessary.
