Android 7.0 Nougat starts rolling out on recent Nexus devices

Even not being supported to have Android Nougat, these Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 still stay its unique design, powerful performance, and price tag during the year of launching 2013. It’s why several handsets like BlackBerry’s Priv and the OnePlus 2 received the Android Marshmallow update more than 6 months after Marshmallow launched. Any other devices enrolled in the Android Beta Program, such as the Sony Xperia Z3, will also get the update.

The 7.0 version of Android, called Nougat, is available from Monday on Nexus devices. LG has said it hopes to introduce the new model sometime in the third quarter of this year. Some happy news for current Nexus device owners, since they are right to expect that they will be first in line to receive Nougat updates – factory images for the Nexus 9 tablet, the Pixel C, and the Nexus Player have surfaced, meaning that owners of those devices can now manually flash Android Nougat into their devices.

Android 7.0 Nougat has just rolled out, but some of its features would be coming in a later update. In a blog post this week, Sameer Samat, the vice president of product management for Google’s Android & Play group, highlighted some of the more important ones for users.

The new OS version will offer users more productivity options, better battery life and is said to be more secure than the previous avatars. The report added that the price tag is justified by the high-end specifications, headlined by Snapdragon 820 chip and 4GB of RAM, for both the Sailfish and Marlin, which reports said will have identical specs and features save for the screen size.

The new version of Android has been in a testing phase since March as Google polished the system that will feature 72 new emojis and the ability to reply to notifications without opening an app.

With the release of Android Nougat, people have noticed that some features that were supposed to come along with it are not included.
