The Great British Bake Off now has its very own emoji.

Rev Lee Banfield from Cornerstone Church in Bromley Cross in Bolton, told John Pantry on Inspirational Breakfast he began baking back in 1984 when he was recovering from a back injury.
The emoji features the show’s famous white tent, complete with Union Jack flag bunting, and will be activated every time someone uses the official hashtag #GBBO.

Rev Lee Banfield said this show is unlike other TV competitions: “I think the key is the fact that everybody is supportive and helps each other, unlike any other competition on television”.
Mary was quick to defend the judges and insisted that it wasn’t a set up by the show’s producers: “Not intentionally, but we want to know more about it so it does take longer when you get in the tent, and sometimes they forget that, and that’s when little disasters happen”.
Even though we were mainly looking forward to many cheeky innuendos and a few disastrous bakes that offend Paul Hollywood more than they should, we’re now officially on Berry Bouffant Watch, because this new look of hers is chic AF.

It’s during the showstopper challenge that things start to go wrong for the competitors, with PE teacher Candice seen throwing her cake bases at the tent wall after complaining that they’re “like rubber” after failing to rise. “What we want to do is take it back to basics a little bit”.
