LIVERPOOL boss Jurgen Klopp not interested in Moreno criticism

Jurgen Klopp has slammed Liverpool’s poor decision-making following their defeat to Burnley.

Jurgen Klopp’s side spent the entire game playing in front of a resolute Burnley defence, who brilliantly defended first half strikes from Sam Vokes and Andre Gray. What I hear now is that a lot of people aren’t happy with the solution of Alberto Moreno there, well, I’m sorry about this. “We put ourselves under pressure”, he said. We have to say it was not enough today.

“The forward drops in as well and they try to play rotational and pop the ball around and your players have to see through that and realise that they weren’t opening us up and that’s an important factor”.

Vokes scored the opener just after two minutes when smashed home Andre Gray’s pass after Nathaniel Clyne’s awful back pass.

Georginio Wijnaldum, meanwhile, was equally disappointed with Liverpool’s loss and admitted they made too many mistakes.

“It’s very tough and so frustrating but I’m mentally tough and now I’ve come out the other end positively”.

“If one game should change my mind then I would be a real idiot”, he said, “I know you [reporters] would all buy a left-back, but a midfielder [too]?” I thought we could have done better. The first game (against Arsenal) was good, the second game not.

You can lose a game. “It’s a nice story they wrote in the last two or three years with getting promoted each year, that’s really good”, said the Reds boss.

“Usually in a game like this we win if we don’t make the mistakes in the wrong moment, but we did and now we have to accept the result and carry on”. If you tell me past year we could have played at Burnley like this, not ideal of course, I would be really surprised. But it’s our job to get the result which we deserve. “Leicester proved it previous year”.

“Everyone has seen how they keep the ball and flood the midfield with five and six at times”. But that doesn’t win you the game.

The Senegalese winger sustained the knock in training, handing Klopp a blow after his superb debut performance in the 4-3 victory against Arsenal. From here, things just seemed to get worse. We can ask if it’s fair that they had two good moments, we had 500, and it was 2-0.
