The Internet is flooded with images of consumers across India queuing up to avail of Reliance Jio‘s preview offer, which is now available to almost all 68 million 4G handset users in India.

The list of Micromax devices with which the Jio 4G SIM is offered is as follows.

YU today announced the partnership with Reliance Jio to make 4G accessible to the ever growing base of digital consumers.

The preview offer that lets users get their hands on a free Jio 4G SIM card to enjoy unlimited 4G data, calls and other Jio services was earlier restricted only for smartphones from LYF, Samsung and LG. Within 24-48 hours of purchasing the SIM card, insert it in the primary SIM slot that supports 4G LTE and VoLTE network. According to Bank of America Merrill Lynch estimates, a very small number of smartphones will now work on the Jio ecosystem (less than 5 million), as less than three per cent of the smartphones have VoLTE capability.

It seems that while there is no news of full-fledged commercial launch of the Jio 4G service, the Preview Offers has helped the company garner over a million users already.

Reliance Jio is now testing its 4G network. Users will also get complimentary access to premium Jio applications – My Jio, Jio on Demand, Jio Beats, Jio Play, Jio Drive, and Jio Money – with unlimited options of latest movies, TV shows and songs across multiple languages during the Jio Preview offer.
