State Rep. Cindy Gamrat expected to break silence Friday
Gamrat said during the press conference that she had no knowledge of that email.

But Gamrat said Friday she would not resign, and said she was confident an investigation into her actions would clear her of any wrongdoing.
Gamrat and Courser are both married.
Gamrat said she made “poor decisions” in her personal life but did nothing wrong in her role as a lawmaker.
Courser and Gamrat shared an office and legislative aides, presumably because of their very close working relationship on issues of Liberty and Family Values “n” stuff, although the Detroit News points out that “their districts are separated by 130 miles and are on different sides of the state”.
She said she didn’t break any state laws. “I think that she doesn’t believe that they do as far as some kind of House rule or criminal law or using state resources”. “Many people have texted her and asked her to resign and told her she should resign to protect her family”. We’re going to hope he immediately clarified that the only voices she was listening to were constituents’ voicemails and emails, as opposed to whatever dialogues Rep. Courser has going on inside his head.
She then took time to thank her husband and children, along with other supporters present at the press conference.
Courser has posted statements on his web page and social media saying he and Gamrat are targets of the Lansing Republican establishment, and victims of a blackmail attempt. The three former employees have vehemently rejected the accusation as ridiculous.
