Series of explosions, fire tears through Texas oil field chemical supplier
Several blasts in the United States have made a huge fire at an oilfield chemical supply company located north of Houston, Texas.

More than 50 firefighters were on the scene, along with a Hazmat team.
On Facebook, the Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office reported the explosions from what it characterized as a “multiple-alarm commercial fire”.
A shelter was in place for anyone within a two-mile radius of the plant but has since been lifted. Firefighters also advised residents to turn off their air conditioners and keep doors and windows closed.
“Sometimes the best plan of attack may be not any attack at all”, Williams said.
At this time there have been no fatalities or injuries reported. “So far, they haven’t found anything concerning”.
That may be because hazardous chemicals or materials could be involved and they do not want to endanger firefighters, Williams said.

Legoudes said the fire department received the call at 4:45 p.m. Connecticut and arrived a few minutes later to find two 10,000-square-foot buildings engulfed in flames. There’s been no word of injuries amidst the confusion that has followed the explosion. The fire sent a broad, dense column of thick, black smoke towering into the otherwise blue skies, making it visible for miles.
