Before and during the events of season two, Elliot recorded his most private thoughts in his journal. In the final moments of “Handshake”, Elliot was meeting with Krista (Gloria Reuben) and talked about staying with his mom. Now though, we’ve got a “handshake” between Elliot and Mr. Robot – and one between Elliot and us viewers as well – indicating that he’s ready to take the reins on the 5/9 aftercare.

The promo for episode 7 shows Elliot asking Mr Robot about Tyrell Wellick, who disappeared after the 5/9 hack.
The teaser for the upcoming episode titled “eps2.5_h4ndshake.sme” shows a breakthrough in Elliot and Mr. Robot’s standoff. Elliot was now taking responsibility for everything that happened. Elliot will find himself in a tug of war in choosing what is right and wrong. Elliot was able to add code so that the Federal Bureau of Investigation could find Ray’s site. Yet, Elliot corrected him on that part.
There are, indeed, consequences to Elliot’s actions. This new adventure of Elliot and his friends shoot our perception, our approach to the series even further. And why is Whiterose protecting him on the inside?
Now the question is why is Elliot in prison? On top of that, she was attacked with red paint and labeled a “Capitalist Pig” as she took a walk with her baby. Besides, the last sequence is extremely well-built and shows us how we could have been in doubt (let us admit that we had a little doubt about the reality of Elliot at some point, season 1 was our lesson ). Joanna’s given an ultimatum. Although she doesn’t go, she later shows him a petition for divorce from Tyrell. He called for Mr. Robot and told him that he wanted to finish what they started. But I think they’re both in this bind of “we have no other way”.
Instead Ray had played one final game of chess with Elliot as some odd way of saying goodbye and had then warned Elliot he should go before the feds arrive.

Once in Risk Management, Angela learns of a class action lawsuit against E Corp for its role in the water contamination in Flint, Michigan. After her boss quickly adjourns the meeting, he tells her that he knows about her. Following this, Elliot asks, “I did it?”
