It is way too early to panic, but the thought of City opening a five point gap on Chelsea this early in the campaign is not something that Jose Mourinho will want to overcome.

The new Premier League may only be one week in, but with champions Chelsea away to Manchester City on Sunday, there is already talk of the title.

Pellegrini job was said to have been gone last season after Jorgen Klopp’s announcement that he was leaving Dortmund, but Man City stuck with their manager.

“We will fight against them and our intention is to win, yes, we are favourites”.

“We will not go there thinking about the title but it will matter”.

The weekend of Premier League matches is not completely over with Manchester City still to host West Brom.

Mata is very comfortable at United and most of the fans adore him which is good to see and he seems confident of a positive season ahead for United is on the cards.

For years, Arsenal’s best and brightest had fled London for “bigger” teams.

While Aguero was a substitute, Wilfried Bony was City’s starting striker at the Hawthorns and the former Swansea player’s Ivory Coast teammate Yaya Toure was among their scorers.

If he doesn’t, I don’t think they get a result.

“We are not thinking about the title in the second game but we are thinking about trying to win our points at home, especially as we are playing against the champions“, he said. The Portuguese manager blasted his medical team for wasting time for a minor problem with Eden Hazard in the injury time. Liverpool and Manchester United have set themselves up for a good start, but a lot will still change, as the transfer window is still open until the end of August. Aston Villa will be hosting Manchester United for the first match of round 2. “The attacking part of the team is very strong and it’s about improving consistency in defence, particularly in away games”, the Brazil global said.

“.I know that my club is able to buy or to sell – every club can buy or can sell in this moment – but I don’t like that feeling. I’m getting better and I hope I will be 100 per cent fit in the next week”.

Palace meanwhile go into the game after an impressive 3-1 win at promoted Norwich City.

Cheikhou Kouyate’s opener shows they’re still flimsy at the back and their missed opportunities prove the Gunners are lacking a punch up front when Alexis Sanchez is not in the side.

City began their campaign with an easy 3-0 win at West Bromwich Albion on Monday
