These Nexus Devices Won’t Get Android 7.0 Nougat
The release announced Monday means many Nexus-branded devices should receive a free upgrade to Android 7.0, nicknamed “Nougat”, during the next few weeks. This launch event is scheduled for September 6, yet rumors say that the Google Nexus 2016 could be here as from September 23.

On the other hand, Google has been releasing developer previews of its upcoming Android 7.0 Nougat since March, but the company hasn’t specified when the operating system will finally arrive. According to the latest news and speculations, it is expected that the next version of android, Android 7.0 Nougat will roll out from August 22nd.
This year Google started the public beta testing of Android 7 Nougat earlier, so the public release could be advanced as well. Scroll down to check out more news about Android 7.0 Nougat.
In other related developments, the honor of the first Android device to sport Android 7.0 Nougat will go to the LG V20 smartphone.
Surprisingly, the new Nexus phones, now known as the Nexus Sailfish and Nexus Marlin, won’t be the first handsets to launch with Android Nougat, as that honor will instead fall on the LG V20.
Most of us have experience a powerful battery saving mode on Android M that turned on automatically when the smartphone was kept stationary.
We have already seen how friendly is Android Nougat with Virtual Reality in the dev preview 5 build. Users get the VR options in the Display settings and are able to access options like “use low motion blur settings” or “do nothing”, reports Tech2.
Don’t get excited yet though, the new OS is only available for Google Nexus devices right now since they have stock Android on them. Users will be having a “direct reply” feature on Android N that allows to respond to text messages or update task lists directly from the notification menu.
