That harassment led to a meeting between Jones and Twitter execs to discuss ways to deal with abusive comments.
Several selfies of the star alongside celebrities including Rihanna, Kim Kardashian West, Kanye West and 50 Cent were also posted.
“Ghostbusters” actress Leslie Jones waged war against Twitter trolls last month, but her online problems did not end.
The hacker also uploaded a video in tribute to gorilla Harambe and positioned it at the top of the site. “All this cause I did a movie”.
She said: “I was in my apartment by myself, and I felt trapped. You can hate the movie but the s-t I got today. wrong”. Many Twitter users called her an ape and compared her to Harambe, the gorilla that was killed at the Cincinnati zoo in May. This time, Leslie’s dissenters have hacked her website. As happened when she was bombarded with hateful Twitter messages in July, there has been an outpouring of tweets in support of Jones.
The website has now been taken down.
