Rajnath Singh Arrives In Srinagar to Fresh Violence

Rajnath Singh’s visit follows Jammu and Kashmir opposition leaders’ several meetings in Delhi including with President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Nardenra Modi.

“If we don’t find a political solution to this, then every time we’ll repeat the same mistake”, he said.

Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti on Monday visited various parts of Jammu city to personally take stock of the developmental works in and around the winter capital. The delegation apprised the Prime Minister of the ground situation in the Valley which continues to remain under curfew for last 45 days.

Singh will be meeting various delegations especially leaders of mainstream political parties.

The officials said the government was keen on breaking the logjam and end the vicious cycle of violent protests and counter-violence that has so far left at least 68 people dead in over five weeks of unrest.
