The former Oklahoma State standout experienced a stellar rookie campaign to the tune of 64 catches for 865 yards and five touchdowns over the course of 16 games, but his career came to a screeching halt the following year due to the failed drug tests. He blew 0.24, according to police. He told the officer he drank “just two drinks”, and submitted to standard field sobriety tests.

The fifth overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, Blackmon hasn’t played in a game since being indefinitely suspended November 1, 2013 for another violation of the league’s substance abuse program.

In 2010, he was arrested on a misdemeanor DUI charge that was reduced to an underage possession charge.

Blackmon entered the NFL as the Jaguars’ fifth overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.

No specifics were released on what substance triggered either of Blackmon’s suspensions. He played only four games in 2013, finished with 29 receptions for 415 yards and one touchdown.

In September, the Toronto Argonauts secured Blackmon’s rights to play in the Canadian Football League, but the Jaguars would not release him.
