Canon EOS 5D Mark IV Sample Image Gallery
The EOS 5D Mark IV ditches the 22.3-million-pixel CMOS sensor as used within the EOS 5D Mark III and introduces an all-new 30.4-million-pixel full frame CMOS sensor that’s never been seen before in a Canon DSLR. If you’re as excited as we are for the arrival of the Canon 5D IV, you’ll want to stop reading this article now and jump over to our preview instead, complete with the in-depth analysis you’ve come to expect from IR and exclusive extra content from some of the photographers in Canon’s renowned Explorers of Light program to boot!

A gallery of hands-on photos of the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV DSLR camera compared to the previous 5D Mark III model. The Mark IV employs an all-new 30.4-megapixel sensor, has a native ISO range of 100-32,000 (which is expandable to 50-102,400), and uses Canon’s Digic 6+ image processor. This clever technology allows the photographer to select a slightly different point at which the image is sharpest after the image has been captured – no more portraits in which the eyes aren’t pin-sharp.
The AF system looks to be nearly identical to that in the EOS-1D X Mark II (though we’re told some of the components are different); it’s a 61-point AF system, with all points selectable by the user, and 41 of those AF points are cross-type variants for even great accuracy.
Video is further bolstered by Canon’s proprietary Dual Pixel CMOS AF system that provides fast and accurate autofocus in live view mode. It also sports in-camera Wi-Fi / NFC wireless networking capabilities and a built-in Global Positioning System receiver.
An accessory created to fit in the SD card slot, the Canon Wi-Fi Adapter W-E1 brings internet connectivity to some of Canon’s most popular DSLRs, including the Canon EOS 7D Mark II, EOS 5DS and EOS 5DSR DSLRs.
As much as the Mark IV expands the appeal of the 5D series to new audiences, it doesn’t sacrifice what has made it the mainstay of wedding and event shooters and photojournalists.
The Canon EOS 5D Mark IV will be available from Adorama, body only, for 3,499.00 Dollars.
At the same time, Canon also launched the EF24-105mm f/4L IS II USM lens with improved optical performance, better flare and ghosting suppression as well as quieter operation. We should know the Australian price very soon and will update as soon as we get it.

The new EF 16-35mm f/2.8L III USM lens has been created to complement high resolution sensors and provide outstanding image quality, particularly in low light levels, where its fast f/2.8 maximum aperture is advantageous.
