With all the good Android Nougat brings, it still doesn’t solve the biggest problem Google faces when rolling out new software updates: getting it onto non-Nexus phones.

The Android 7.0 Nougat update is an impressive release.

While Sony has revealed the list of devices that will get Android 7.0 Nougat update, the company has not specified timeline for the same.

But to those who have been waiting with more attention than the regular users (e.g. some of you who are real hardcore Android fans) have already noticed that some of the new features that were hyped before Android 7.0’s launch weren’t included. The update will be available on Nexus 6, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9, Nexus Player, Pixel C and General Mobile 4G (Android One).

“We took a different approach to building and launching Nougat this year, ‘ Sameer Samat, vice president of product management for Android and Google Play, wrote in a blog post Monday”. During the recent announcement, Google briefly outlined an approach that is nearly Apple-esque.

Android 7.1 was spotted in the crash and report filter section of Google’s developer console and the screenshot started circulating on the internet, generating attention and interest all over the world.

This is certainly the most awaited feature of Android Nougat.

Do you think Android Nougat will arrive on your current smartphone?

Android 7.0 also includes support for Vulkan and DayDream, two of the best advances we’ve had in Android since the incorporation of the battery saving Doze feature in Marshmallow. With successive versions, that curve becomes more and more pronounced; it’s taking longer and longer for Android updates to reach users. It’s where Night mode used to reside before Google pulled the plug.
