With Wes Morgan standing out at the heart of the defense, Leicester sported a relentless work rate reminiscent of last season, something which they lacked in their 2-1 season-opening loss at Hull.
Ranieri, whose Leicester side are seeking their first points of the season when they host Arsenal on Saturday, is also confident that midfielder Danny Drinkwater will extend his deal, which now runs until 2018.
The intrigue in the game between Leicester and Arsenal today is however, increased by the transfer sagas between the two clubs surrounding Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez.

“Maybe I will take a gamble on bringing them back early but I have 48 hours to decide”, Wenger told his press conference. “We need to dust that off and come back better”.
