Liverpool Fall To Resilient Burnley
Jurgen Klopp has said that his Liverpool side need to make the most of the possession when they have it and lamented his players’ decision making in the 2-0 defeat to Burnley on Saturday afternoon.

But a senior Liverpool source told AFP that although the club was open to outside investment, FSG was not in talks and the club was not the subject of a bid.
“The whole game is explained by the two goals”, he added. “We didn’t look out of place at all and dominated the game but we just couldn’t stick the ball in the net”. Jürgen Klopp and Alberto Moreno both have gone on the defensive this week leading up to the match, with the boss saying that he is happy with Moreno’s performances and the depth we have in his position.
Klopp says that he picked Moreno in the Arsenal game for a reason and although he gave the penalty away, the situation should have been handled better before it got to that.
However, ex-Liverpool centre-half Carragher believes Emre Can is Liverpool’s only natural holding midfielder with Lucas Leiva facing an uncertain future at Anfield.
‘It’s not a defending problem, it’s an offensive problem. “In Flanno’s case we thought it makes absolute sense that he gets the opportunity to play at the highest level with Burnley”, continued the Liverpool manager.
Asked if he will spend money, he said: “The answer is I don’t know – we will see”.
“In patches they were very good, very strong, but we came out with a game plan that worked”. Now we have to accept the result and carry on.
“We know we are going to have to keep the ball better and build that side of our game, but on the other hand we do plan this”. And obviously on Saturday we deserved a defeat.
“I’m looking forward to battling against them in the Premier League for Burnley. It’s not an off day, just an experience that we didn’t want”.

“If we had found the ideal fit for all the things around – it’s not about money, but about playing style, technical skills – then we would have made a transfer”. In the last moments, we were not where we should have been and that was a little bit of the problem, in the box, around the box.
