The woman was treated after her fall and rushed to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead, ABC 6 reports.
A 59-year-old woman has died at an adventure park operated by a United Kingdom firm which has a similar site in Devon.
Officials have not yet released the victim’s identity although next of kin have been informed.
Authorities say no one else was injured.
The Treetop Adventure features a two-to-three hour tour through the forest canopy with zip lines, suspended obstacles and swings between platforms, according to the Go Ape website. The circumstances surrounding the woman’s death remain under investigation.
In a statement, Go Ape said it was “deeply saddened by this tragic occurrence”.
Go Ape began in the United Kingdom in 2002 and has since launched at 15 sites in the US. It’s unclear when the course will reopen.

Go Ape provides 2-3 hour adventures through forest canopies at 15 US locations and several sites in the United Kingdom. They also must read and sign a waiver before using the zip line. The investigation is still in its early stages.
