Ariana Grande’s career has been dependent on radio pop songs and her saucy girl-next-door teen image. According to TMZ, Greggs asserts that not only the music but also some lyrics of his song have been copied, like “take (s) [or taking] you home”.

Grande announced her performance with a video featuring London artist Hattie Stewart.

He claims that Grande took memorable parts of his song and used it for her chorus.

Many are trying to compare the two songs to see whether they are similar even though the tracks have been released two years apart from each other.

In both Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato’s lawsuits, it’s debatable whether or not the lyric and tunes on both songs were lifted and sampled without permission or if it’s just a pure coincidence.

An accomplished songwriter, Gregg has written for big name artists like Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake and Janet and Michael Jackson.

In the suit, Greggs demanded to receive a percentage of the profits earned by Grande’s song, Perez Hilton reported. But when it came to answering questions about their relationship status, Ariana laughed, “I love my MAC lipstick”.

David Guetta, who wrote “One Last Time”, music producer Rami Yacoub, songwriter Carl Falk, Universal Music Group and Republic Records are also listed as defendants in the lawsuit.
