Mauricio Pochettino has made just two signings so far this summer with Victor Wanyama and Vincent Janssen arriving at White Hart Lane.
Spurs officials will be keen to bring in some players to bolsters Pochettino’s squad, with the Tottenham manager going on record to express his disappointment following the imminent departure of the club’s head of recruitment Paul Mitchell.
Pardew refused to agree to Zaha’s request, instead informing the player he would speak to chairman Steve Parish and only sell if the price was right for the club.
Zaha, 23, has always been deemed one of the brightest talents in English football and has started both Palace’s Premier League games – but boss Alan Pardew is keen to add to his squad before the window closes and may feel he is prepared to lose Zaha.
Tottenham are keen to add another attacking midfielder to their ranks before the transfer window closes and Zaha, with his youth, energy and athleticism, chimes with the club’s transfer policy since Pochettino took charge.
