Notre Dame Shamrock Series Jerseys Released!

On Thursday, the Fighting Irish unveiled their latest “Shamrock Series” uniforms that they will wear for their November 21 game against Boston College at Fenway Park. Boston College went on to win the Cotton Bowl later that year.

Notre Dame has once again strayed from their traditional look for the Shamrock Series and will don green jersey. Notre Dame caught a case of fumblitis in their new jerseys that fateful afternoon and Tyrone Willingham’s inaugural season suffered it’s first loss.

The helmet will be the traditional gold but will feature a blue-and-green stripe down the middle and a leprechaun on one side. The Eagles will wear uniforms designed by Under Armour inspired by the team’s 1985 look. Before Notre Dame’s streak, Boston College had taken six in a row themselves.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame is appropriately going all green, not only because of their Irish heritage, but also as nod to Fenway’s Green Monster.
