Terry, who turns 39 on September 15, has averaged 14.3 points and 4.1 assists during his 17-year career and signed a one-year contract with the Bucks on Monday. Terms of the contract were not disclosed in accordance with team policy.

The team announced the signing Monday.

The former NBA Sixth Man of the Year awardee had suited up for the Houston Rockets in the past two seasons playing both the point guard and shooting guard positions and had remained a key role player that comes off the bench.

Selected by the Atlanta Hawks in the 1999 NBA Draft, Terry spent the first five seasons of his career there before being traded to the Dallas Mavericks.

Terry then moved to Dallas where he played with the Mavericks for eight seasons, including the Mavs’ 2011 NBA Championship team, before playing with the Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets for one season each prior to his stint in Houston. “We’re thrilled to welcome him to Milwaukee”.

“Jason will bring veteran leadership and shooting”, Kidd said.

On Monday evening, Terry posted a picture of the Bucks logo and a message of gratitude on Twitter.

Coach Kidd is said to be excited about having his former teammate in the squad in the upcoming season and reportedly expressed his trust that Terry can still provide a lot for his team. He has averaged 14.3 points and 4.1 assists for his career. He played in only three games previous year before sustaining a season-ending knee injury. Was this a good signing by the Bucks?
