Police officers say Taco Bell employee refused to serve them
Taco Bell has launched an investigation after five Louisville (KY) Metro Officers were allegedly denied service at one of its restaurants in Louisville. “They went to the Taco Bell at Preston/Phillips Lane”.

The franchise owner said police made it clear that they didn’t want any of the employees to be fired. However, in the meantime an officer heard an employee behind the counter tell another employee ‘I want to mess with them. I’m going to mess with them. “I wanna mess with them.’ And then he followed that up by saying, ‘I’m going to mess with them”, Louisville FOP President Dave Mutchler said. As the officers were unable to find a manager and register their complaint, they left. I am both saddened and sickened to hear this and can promise that I will never visit a Taco Bell again even after they apologize and provide a corporate press release to control the damage.
The Louisville Police Department says the incident happened August 18 when the officers came in during their lunch break.
At the time, Taco Bell said the action is not a restaurant policy – nationally or locally – but instead the act of a single employee. All employees at this particular location are being re-trained.
“Obviously the members aren’t very happy about what happened, but at this point, at least they’re satisfied that the franchise and Yum is going to address the issue”, Mutchler said.
Taco Bell isn’t the only chain where restaurant employees have refused to serve customers in recent months.
