Call Of Duty: Black Ops III’s Final DLC Will Be Called ‘Salvation’

A set of new teaser trailers for the next Black Ops 3 expansion are now online, courtesy of the official Treyarch and Call of Duty Twitter accounts, and we’ve learned a couple of new details about the upcoming Salvation DLC from the first wave of promotional videos. But it looks like we’ll have to wait a bit longer for any other major reveals.

If you’re not much of a Zombies fan, there will still be four new maps to enjoy in Black Ops 3 multiplayer. “At this point it goes without saying, that Zombies has been a true labour of love for the studio and I’m proud to say that this will be a defining and epic experience for the fans who have joined us over the last 8 years”. “Confronted by an ancient evil, our heroes must fight the zombie horde once more in the final battle to save their immortal souls”, the description adds.

As seen in the Black Ops 3 trailer below, Revelations has players taking on the role of the Origins characters once again after having been sent on a mind bending time-travel adventure.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops III campaign deploys players into a future world, where bio-technology coupled with cybernetic enhancements has given rise to a new breed of Black Ops soldier.

Next, we have the Micro map, which takes place on a full-sized family picnic table.

Of course, Salvation comes with the multiplayer content one would expect from a Call of Duty map pack.

The other two maps are re-workings of previous fan favorites: Outlaw is a re-imagining of Standoff from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, while Rupture is a remake of Outskirts from World at War.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is out now for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.

The final map is called Rupture, and takes place in a futuristic science lab, owned by an organization that wishes to try and fix the Earth’s damaged atmosphere. If you purchase the DLC Season Pass offering, do not also purchase these standalone DLC Map Packs, as you will be charged for them. Pricing and release dates may vary by platform.
