During an episode of The Late Show with James Corden, Schwartz confirmed that Harrington was in fact Jean-Ralphio’s father.
And nothing about the series has caused more contemplation than a theory popularized by Uproxx that says Steve Harrington, Nancy’s boo, is possibly the father of Jean-Ralphio from “Parks and Recreation”.
Luckily, Ben Schwartz, the actor who played Jean-Ralphio, is here to set my mind at ease – and the answer is an unqualified yes.
“I assume that when Jean-Ralphio came out, he probably sang, and he had way too much hair”, he added before mentioning how true to form, the character attempted a get-rich scheme right after birth. “But he was, like, super chill”. While Stranger Things’ co-creators Matt and Ross Duffer left a few questions unanswered, this mysterious, joking theory about what that could mean has finally been solved thanks to Schwartz and Parks and Rec co-creator Ken Schur. He was super cool in the Upside Down. Like, he ran that shit.
