After signing Pogba, the club can probably afford to let him leave and never look back, but if he’s given the chance to prove his usefulness to the team, he can do a job. The German worldwide confirmed Wednesday through social media that Manchester United would be his last club on the continent. I’ll be ready when the team needs me.

The midfielder made 31 appearances for the Red Devils last season, but largely failed to live up to expectations after lifting 22 trophies with Bayern.

According to these reports, Schweinsteiger spent last year’s major injury spell watching his newly Wednesday wife, Ana Ivanovic, play tennis, instead of working on his fitness and being the leader he was recruited as while United’s faltering pursuit of top four ensued. Before signing for United last summer, Schweinsteiger said he was still too young to make a move overseas, but it appears to be his best option now. He expressed hs gratitude to the fans but was unable to comment on his current situation.

Schweinsteiger had an injury-hit debut season under Louis van Gaal and things haven’t improved under Jose Mourinho. “I want to thank the fans for the unbelievable support over the last few weeks”, the 32-year-old added.

Schweinsteiger was told to “stop watching tennis and get fit”, reports the Daily Mail.

However, the 2014 World Cup victor has shown what kind of classy player he is.
