“As a father myself, I couldn’t let it sit in its own urine and feces and vomit”, Senior Trooper D.C. Graham, who responded to the scene, told WVNS-TV.

But no worries, because West Virginia state troopers knew just what to do.

‘We made an arrest for DUI, ‘ said trooper B.R. Wood, with the Princeton detachment to the Bluefield Daily Telegraph.

The baby was found after troopers pulled over a suspected drunk driver earlier this week in Princeton. Then he noticed the baby in the backseat, a boy clad only in a diaper, with a bad cough and sitting in an improper child safety seat.

“We brought him into the barracks and the smell of vomit and feces overtook the room”. We tried everything. He was just so upset in the condition he was in. “She texted asking for help for her son, wanting to get him into a treatment program”.

Upon arresting the woman and taking her down to the station, the officers took the baby back with them where they cleaned him up and gave the infant some much-needed TLC.

‘He was the best little baby. The child is now in the custody of a legal guardian. “He is safe at this time and under the supervision of CPS”.
