With support for more than 250 major features, the OS has started to arrive via an over-the-air software update. In a brief tweet (and through responses), it is explain that devices such as the HTC One M8 and other devices based on the 800 and 801 won’t be updated to Android Nougat, at least not officially.

A Reddit user going by the name QuestionsEverythang was first to share that the tech giant was apparently testing the Android 7.1 build.
Users can also move the buttons around and resize them. This is on top of other much requested features such as multi-window mode and Daydream, which will allow virtual reality to become much more commonplace in mobile devices.
Google is also “pushing the Android 7.0 source code to the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), extending public availability of this new version of Android to the broader ecosystem”, he added.
BlackBerry hasn’t yet confirmed when owners of the BlackBerry Priv or DTEK50 will receive the bump to Android 7.0, but the firm has promised a boost in device security when the update eventually arrives. The first beta release was launched on March 9 earlier this year. However, the firm has yet to say when Nougat will begin rolling out to older devices.

As existing Nexus models are already running on Nougat, an array of awe-inspiring features of the new OS have already been discovered, but one that outshines rest of them is the seamless update. “I knew 7.1 would be coming sooner than we thought but I’m surprised about Android O though!” One of the first new devices to come preloaded with Nougat is LG’s V20, which is set to hit the market sometime in the third quarter of this year.
