Gatlin loses out on gold, gets booed too
Usain Bolt once again ran past his competitors in the 100m race at the Rio 2016 Olympics to bag a staggering third straight gold in the sprint event at the Olympics.

“Most of the young guys always run fast in the heats, but to win is the key thing because you get a better semi-final”.
Having already won the 100m sprint with a time 9.80 seconds, Bolt said it wouldn’t have been possible without the support he gets from his fans.
American Justin Gatlin, who took home the silver, also expressed displeasure at the timing of the race, saying he only had 30 minutes after his semifinal to prep for one of the biggest races of his life. “His pose, his stride and ideal technique, and then the big grin and the fact that he’s looking where I was standing, made that image all come together”, the Getty photographer Cameron Spencer said to Sydney Morning Herald.
Campbell-Brown has been in every 200-meter final at the Summer Games since 2004 – winning the title that year and again at the 2008 Beijing Games.
Fresh from completing his treble of Olympic 100m triumphs on Sunday, Bolt barely broke into a sweat as he cruised into Wednesday’s 200m semis, although it was Andre de Grasse who went fastest, crossing the line in 20.09 seconds.
The 29-year-old begins his bid for an eighth Olympic gold in the heats today, with the semi-finals the following day and the final on Thursday.
Jamaican runner extraordinaire Usain Bolt has managed to dominate his rivals in the recently-concluded 100-meter dash finals in the 2016 Rio Olympics. Ruth Jebet of Bahrain captured the 3,000-meter steeplechase title, with Emma Coburn picking up the bronze – the first female to win a medal in the event for the United States. I didn’t want to go out.
It’s not completely out of the realm of possibility, but it won’t be easy.
Taylor beat Claye to gold in London four years ago and his first-round jump of 17.86m proved enough to top the podium for a second time. “He shows up and pushes you to run fast and be at your best at all times”.

“That was a fantastic performance by Usain Bolt, he slowed down and said “I’ve got this”. I hope we can keep the tradition going as long as possible”. “I think the semifinals, I can tell what shape I’m in, how I’m feeling”.
