Perhaps the most intriguing game of Saturday’s exhibition schedule was in Denver with both the San Francisco 49ers and Denver Broncos trying to figure out who will start at quarterback. “I think Trevor did a good job the other night”. He’s also the only one of the three quarterbacks to lead two touchdown drives in the preseason, and he’s displayed an innate feel for escaping the rush while squeezing the ball into tight windows. “We want the best five (lineman) on the field, and Trent is not going to play guard”. Kubiak did say he plans on naming a starter prior to the Broncos week four preseason game, so we’re finally nearing the finish line in this battle. The third preseason game is typically when the regular season starters play the most minutes in a preseason game, giving Siemian extended time to play with the regulars.
The smart money is on either Mark Sanchez or Trevor Siemian jogging out with the first-string offense and a quick trigger finger by Kubiak, who will want some type of clarity heading into the final matchup of the preseason against the Cardinals and won’t be afraid to yank an underperformer. Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota directed three series and went 9 of 10 for 104 yards with one touchdown and an interception.
Notes: Linebacker Von Miller, who was held out of last week’s exhibition opener at Chicago, is expected to play Saturday night against the San Francisco 49ers in his first game action since being named Super Bowl MVP in the Broncos’ 24-10 victory over Carolina.
Kubiak planned to use Saturday’s game to finally settle on a starter.

That is a big difference and if you are going to bet the Broncos take the time to open account. However, on the third drive when he scrambled 13 yards for a first down and then hit McDonald for the long score when Benardrick McKinney slipped in coverage.
