Ghostbusters star and comedian Leslie Jones has found herself on the end of a seemingly racially-motivated cyberattack that resulted in her website being hacked and the homepage reportedly being replaced with private photos of the star.

In July, Jones quit Twitter after being targeted with vicious, racist and misogynistic attacks, in a case that prompted a response from social network’s CEO and the banning of Yiannopoulos.

A source who spoke to the website says that agency has one of the best cyber-crime units in the country and that Jones has worked with them before, when she was having issues with catfishing.

Photos of the actress posing with stars including Rihanna, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West were leaked as was her phone number and Twitter password.

She was sent tweets blaming her for Aids and comparing her to a gorilla.

“Do not give your eyeballs to this racist, hate-filled, misogynoir crime”.

TMZ reports that the hacker accessed the personal photos and information by hacking Jones’ Cloud storage or iPhone. Bareilles also noted that the “Ghostbusters” actress did not deserve to be the receiving end of someone’s “misplaced sadness and anger”.

Since starring in the reboot of the Ghostbusters franchise, Leslie Jones has had to deal with a torrent of racist and misogynistic abuse online, which resulted in her leaving Twitter for a brief period.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the hackers attacked on Wednesday morning, but that site has since gone offline.

She said: “The insults didn’t hurt me. Unfortunately, I’m used to insults, but what scared me was the injustice of a gang of people jumping against you for such a sick cause… it’s so gross and mean and unnecessary”.

This is coming just weeks after Jones deleted her Twitter account because of the hateful messages she received.

Jones’ “Saturday Night Live” co-stars were very vocal about their support.

After her posts on the games went viral, NBC paid for her to fly down to Rio to cover the games for NBC Sports.
