The Latest on the kidnapping of three children whose mother was killed in Southern California (all times local): 10:46 a.m. Authorities say a man and woman wanted in connection with a woman’s killing and the kidnapping of her three small children should be considered armed and unsafe.

Three of Harvill’s children were found Wednesday in a motel on the outskirts of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

When the couple didn’t return, the man called police.

They are suspected of killing Kimberly Harvill, whose body was discovered Sunday in brush along a remote road in northern LA County in the unincorporated Lebec area near Interstate 5.

Humphrey is a half-sister to Kimberly Harvill, the woman who was killed. Officials describe him as armed and risky.

“The police were able to locate the children and they are now in the custody of children’s services in the state of New Mexico”.

The suspects may have family in Nebraska, and have some ties to Kansas, Louisiana and Mississippi, Mendoza said.

Robertson has an infant with him who is unrelated to Harvill’s children, who were in authorities’ custody and will be returned to California, police said. He is not the biological father, despite previous reports.

Joshua Robertson and Brittany Humphrey are also wanted for questioning in Harvill’s death.

It was not clear if the victim and her children were staying with Humphrey and Robertson before the murder. There were no known ongoing conflicts between the sisters.

The couple had been on the run, wanted in the alleged kidnapping of Harvill’s three children.

The three children are most likely with the suspects and have been listed in law enforcement databases as “Missing Persons at Risk”.
