Cry All The Tears Watching Nicole Kidman & Dev Patel’s New ‘Lion’ Trailer
The first trailer for The Weinstein Company’s Lion has arrived.

Watch the first trailer above.
Directed by Garth Davis from a script by Luke Davies, the drama stars Dev Patel, Rooney Mara, David Wenham, and Nicole Kidman. The “Slumdog Millionaire” actor also impressed people having totally nailed an Australian accent.
Three decades ago, a 5-year-old boy named Saroo was separated from his family in India after he fell asleep on a train, accidentally traveling thousands of miles from home before ending up in Calcutta. The one complaint I have is maybe the title, it doesn’t say anything about the movie (not that it has to say, but in this case it would help) and after watching the trailer I’ve yet to understand why Lion and not something else. It was here that Saroo gets adopted by an Australian couple named Sue and John Brierley (Kidman and Wenham).
“Lion” will have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and has been attracting attention not only for its true to life epic story, but as well as for its promising production. Based on Brierley’s memoir “A Long Way Home”, the film follows Brierley as he attempts to locate his birth parents-through the magic of Google Earth.
“What if you do find home and they’re not even there, and you just keep searching…?”
