Couple wanted in California killing and kidnapping arrested in Colorado
The couple took Harvill’s three children out of state, and then left them with a good Samaritan at a motel in Grants, New Mexico. Authorities say the couple may have left California with the children, Rylee Watkins, 5, Brayden Watkins, 3, and Joslynn Watkins, 2.

Authorities discovered Harvill’s body on August 14 in brush located along Gorman Post Road in northern Los Angeles County.
The godfather of her children confirmed this photo – from a flier posted by Justice For Children Without Voices – shows Kimberly Harvill. Although Robertson was described as armed and risky due to a previous firearms arrest, neither suspect had a weapon and both were arrested without incident.
Police in Colorado say they have arrested two people suspected in a murder and kidnapping who may have been headed to Nebraska.
Pueblo, Colorado law enforcement say they have 22-year-old Brittany Humphrey and 27-year-old Joshua Aaron Robertson in custody.
Humphrey is the half-sister of the dead woman, and therefore the children’s aunt.
Detectives learned Wednesday that Robertson was believed to have an infant, Madison, in his care, Madison is not related to the three located missing children.
One of Harvill’s Fresno friends remembered her as a loving parent who doted on her kids, and an all-around “wonderful” person. Their father died previously.
Authorities were working with the Department of Children and Family Services to arrange for the safe return of the children to California, officials said. “We need them home because they’ve got a life that they should be able to live”, said the godfather of the three children, Tso Yanez, reported KABC.
The mother-of-three and her young children were transitory, moving from motel to motel and depended on panhandling to survive, cops said.

Anyone who may encounter Robertson and Humphrey should immediately dial 911. Lt. Joe Mendoza said investigators were not aware of any ongoing conflicts between the half-sisters. Arrests warrants had been issued for them in the children’s kidnapping, and they are considered “persons of interest” in Harvill’s homicide.
