Stephen Bannon, the new CEO of Donald Trump’s campaign has been accused of attacking and threatening his ex-wife, Mary Louise Piccard, during their marriage, according to court documents obtained by The New York Post. About two months after the fight in Santa Monica, Calif., he was charged with a series of misdemeanors, including battery and dissuading a witness.

The New York Post reported than Bannon pressured the woman to leave town.
“I have emptied the property”, Luis Guevara, the owner of the house, told The Guardian.
Bannon’s ex-wife did not appear in court, and he pleaded not guilty to the charges, which were ultimately dropped.
“The bottom line is he has a great relationship with the twins, he has a great relationship with the ex-wife, he still supports them”, said Alexandra Preate, Bannon’s spokeswoman. Bannon grabbed the woman “by the throat and arm”, according to documents from the couple’s 1996 divorce proceedings. Once that was determined, Bannon sent her a prenuptial agreement.
Bannon also allegedly smashed the phone when Piccard attempted to call 911. According to a police report, Bannon’s spouse said he pulled at her neck and wrist. Neighbors reportedly said that the house had been abandoned for three month and that they had never seen Bannon there.
The document also says that Bannon had spanked one of his daughters, then a toddler, for hitting her head against the crib. The former Breitbart executive had twin girls with Piccard. She followed him and asked him why he was playing such games with her. “He pulled her down, as if he was trying to pull [her] into the vehicle, over the door”. After all, if they can’t properly manage a campaign and make smart decisions about its staffing, how can they be trusted to run the country?
When Piccard picked up the phone and dialed police, Bannon grabbed it from her hands and threw it across the room, shattering it into pieces, she said.
When the police arrived, Bannon was gone. There has not been any physical abuse in their arguments for about the past 4 years. She first said, ‘Oh, thank you, you are here.
The officer noted seeing “red marks on her left wrist and the right side of her neck”, and said the injuries were photographed.
The Santa Monica city attorney brought charges against Bannon, and he was served with a domestic violence protective order, court records show.

By that point, Piccard and Bannon were separated.
