Seahawks 27, Cowboys 17: Romo Dodges Disaster
Romo would be replaced with rookie quarterback Dak Prescott, who has been impressing many this preseason with his play.

On the Cowboys’ third offensive play of their Week 3 preseason game against the Seahawks on Thursday night, Romo felt pressure and stepped up in the pocket thanks to a fantastic block from rookie Ezekiel Elliott.
Romo left the game clutching his back after being sacked by Seahawks defensive end Cliff Avril on his third play from scrimmage.
As for the other side, Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was injured nearly immediately after the start of the game. The veteran quarterback walked off under his own strength and was stretching on the sideline as backup quarterback Dak Prescott took the job off the field.
Tony Romo gave Dallas Cowboys fans a good scare Thursday night. With the dress rehearsal out of the way now and just one preseason game remaining, there is all sorts of fun stuff to get to. “I do want us do things that in general while it may not be wrong it’s just not good”. Romo had two back surgeries in 2013.
The former Ohio State star hasn’t played in a game and hasn’t been tackled since the Fiesta Bowl matchup against Notre Dame on January 1 when he rushed 27 times for 160 yards and four touchdowns to solidify his status as one of the top prospects in National Football League draft. At the sidelines, Romo stretched by the team’s trainer and wanted to re-enter the game but Cowboys’ coach Jason Garrett decided not to bring him back.
But the ground attack also came alive in the third quarter as Christine Michael had runs of 20 and 17 yards on the first two plays of the second half to spark a drive that ended in a field goal. I don’t want to say anymore. He sat out the preseason opener against the Los Angeles Rams, played just two series against the Miami Dolphins before leaving after three plays against the Seahawks.
“I think I adjusted really well”, Elliott said.
It’s still preseason, but that play is reminiscent of what Seahawks fans have become accustom to seeing in big moments come fall and winter.
Both were one-year contracts, without much guaranteed money – what are commonly referred to as “prove-it” deals.
Randle, 25, finished out his rookie deal with the Giants past year with a good season: 57 catches, 797 yards and eight touchdowns. He just looks lost out there and his body doesn’t seem to move like a regular defensive player.

“I don’t think easy’s the right word”, said Prescott, who joined Tim Tebow as the only SEC quarterbacks with at least 70 touchdowns passing and 40 rushing in a career.
