Celebrate man’s best friend! It’s National Dog Day
Today is National Dog Day, and to celebrate we asked you to send in your snaps of pet pooches from around the area.

Sixty-six dogs in all taken by the Last Chance Animal Rescue from Louisiana.
We love our fur babies at WMC.
Dogs are not just pets, they are family members who also enjoy the luxuries of modern life, including regular walks, dog sitting, grooming, training and even massage.
WUSA9 spent National Dog Day with the adorable dogs looking for their forever homes, meeting Eva, Ava, Dalton, Dakota, Zandra, Rory, Clayton, May, Kara and a couple dozen more.
“There’s no better way to celebrate National Dog Day than adopting a puppy or a dog from one of our two facilities”, explains Shelter Director Monica Brown.
