Jeb Bush blasts ‘abhorrent’ Trump shifts on immigration
Donald Trump said he would “work with” undocumented immigrants during a Fox News town hall with Sean Hannity taped on Tuesday, the second half of which is airing tonight at 10 p.m.

But a change in Trump’s position could prove to be dispiriting to some of his strongest supporters. He said earlier in the week that he wants to follow existing immigration law and do the “same thing” as President Obama, but with “a lot more energy”.
“They’ll pay back taxes; they have to pay taxes”. “Now we can be more aggressive in that, but we want to follow the law”.
Meanwhile, on the same day, Libertarian presidential nominee Gary Johnson was being interviewed by Fox News host Eric Bolling who wanted to know why Johnson supported Black Lives Matter and pushed back against All Lives Matter, notes Mediaite.com (video below). “We’re going to see what happens”.
Trump says he will put a big door in his lovely wall, an implicit endorsement of the dismayingly conventional view that current levels of legal immigration are fine. During the primary, Trump advocated unequivocally for deporting undocumented immigrants, and the shifts he has hinted at would be a highly-scrutinized flip on a trademark issue. But – but, they feel that throwing them out as a whole family when they’ve been here for a long time, it’s a tough thing. “And you go where the problems are …”
Trump has repeatedly declared that if elected, he would deport the 11 million people living in the USA illegally. “I say, what do you have to lose?” Who wants those people thrown out? I do! And while he values the discipline instilled by his new top aides – he praised new campaign manager Kellyanne Conway – Trump made it clear he would continue to call the shots.
In an immigration town hall event with Fox News anchor Sean Hannity, Trump was asked whether he would be willing to change U.S. law to accommodate those illegal immigrants who have been contributing to American society, obeyed laws and have children.
For good measure, Trump declared “There could certainly be a softening (in immigration laws) because we’re not looking to hurt people”. Reporter: Trump is trying to appeal to minority voters. Like anything with Trump, even after he puts out more detailed plans, they could change.
Trump and Clinton are each portraying the other as discriminatory toward African-Americans, with Trump charging on Wednesday evening that the candidate herself was hateful. But Coulter is forced to defend Trump anyway, no matter how stupid it makes her look.
Brandon Judd, president of the National Border Patrol Council, said he appreciated that Trump has sought and taken advice from rank-and-file border agents. “She is selling them down the tubes because she’s not doing anything for those communities”. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and then-House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), noted the similarities to the way she encouraged politicians to talk about immigration. “But she doesn’t do anything”.
Trump continued: “They’re great people in some cases, and I guess in some cases, maybe not. Bush, the same thing”, Trump said.

On the very first page, Coulter complains about what she perceives as the decline of American exceptionalism and says: “There’s nothing Trump can do that won’t be forgiven. All I can tell you: I can only speak for myself”.
